The times may change, the threats may become more obscure, the complex nature of 21st century life may make the demand for such presence less obvious. Welcome to Post 2848 Tillamook/Bay city. As yesterday's defenders of freedom, we want to welcome today's military service members into our ranks to become part of our elite group.  Our common bond is the battlefield, whether it is service in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, the war on terrorism or peace-keeping expeditionary campaigns. Your courage and sacrifice have made a difference in preserving and defending world peace.

Join the VFW Post 2848 in Tillamook County for our 0.1K fun Run, this is a short race with a big purpose. This family-friendly community event raises funds and awareness to support local veterans and the programs that serve them. 

Every participant/donation helps provide assistance, outreach and resources for veterans right here in our community. Whether you walk, run or cheer from the sidelines, your participation helps honor those who have served and ensures our local veterans are never forgotten. Come out, have fun and help us make a meaningful difference 1/10th of a kilometer at a time.
